Simply Youth Institute creates space for young people to lead, grow, and thrive. Rooted in community and driven by purpose, we connect youth to real-world opportunities in education, workforce development, and creative expression—because when young people are supported, whole communities rise.
Since 2019, Simply Youth Institute has been uplifting young adults in Los Angeles County—helping them reimagine what’s possible for their future. Centering youth ages 13–26, especially young women, we provide mentorship, academic guidance, creative expression, and workforce development rooted in healing and purpose.
Led by a team of experienced educators and community leaders, our programs prepare young people to build professional, financially responsible, and fulfilling lives. Many participants not only gain access to networks and opportunities—but also break cycles of instability.
In 2024, we expanded to Lane County, Oregon, answering the call for transformative youth leadership. Through both our in-house programs and creative publishing partner, Daxson Publishing, we uplift youth voices and create pathways to personal, professional, and creative success.

Wynter Eddins is an educator, multilingual learning specialist, and youth advocate who founded Simply Youth Institute in 2019 to create the spaces she knew young people deserved—healing-centered, creative, and rooted in opportunity.
A champion for equity and education, Wynter has guided SYI’s growth from a grassroots vision to a cross-regional movement serving young adults through mentorship, workforce development, and artistic expression.
Everything I do is geared toward inspiring people to rise up and reclaim their power. I want every young person to know they can be anything they want to be—when they move forward with purpose and make wise decisions.
State-Recognized Pre-Apprenticeship Program
Simply Youth Institute is a California State Certified Pre-Apprenticeship Program, equipping young adults with foundational skills to enter registered apprenticeships and high-demand industries. Our certification reflects our commitment to workforce equity, real-world readiness, and sustainable career pathways.
